The purpose of this project was to explore the concept of robotic application for welding of boat hull.
To be able to see the challenges of such application, the physical prototype of concept was created. Universal robot (UR10) was used in experiment to simulate welding process. End-effector, welding device, was printed with help of 3D printer.
Test of prototype proved the possibility of robotic application and revealed challenges associated with robot’s access to all needed places of boat hull.
